Halloween is fast approaching and it’s time again to enjoy this year’s Ghosts and Goblins Tour at Lincoln Caverns.
With 24 years of haunted tour experience and expertise, the staff at Lincoln Caverns, near Huntingdon, is busy with the annual Ghosts and Goblins Tours. This year’s event marks the 25th year for this adventure.
The unique tours provide surprises, scares, laughs and even some cave education to thousands of visitors each year. The tours offer a wide range of variety to fit any group or family’s needs.
Ghosts and Goblins 2008 features all new Halloween themes. Costumed guides explain the wonders and highlights of a haunted Lincoln Caverns while supporting characters provide humor and horror along the way.
This year, during daytime tours, an experienced staff member will guide visitors through Whisper Rocks, sharing the natural beauty of the cavern with the guests. For individuals who are looking for a totally haunted experience, on Friday and Saturday evening, the Whisper Rocks leg of the tour can be replaced by a trip along the haunted trail running through the woods atop Warrior Ridge.
The staff at Lincoln Cavern provides opportunities for all individuals to enjoy a spooky time, regardless of age. During the day, staff members take special care to make sure the ‘fright level’ is appropriate for the tour’s participants. This special attention to guests makes the Ghosts and Goblins Tour an appropriate Halloween experience for everyone.
Ghosts and Goblins 2008 is open to the public Fridays and Saturdays, October 10 through November 1.
From 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, visitors can enjoy a very special one-hour family tour through two beautiful crystal caverns, one haunted and one natural.
Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m., Lincoln Caverns offers an all-haunted, scary adventure featuring the haunted caverns and the increasingly horrifying haunted trail.
Both daytime and evening tours provide visitors with two unique experiences for the price of one. Advance tickets for the annual fun-filled Halloween adventure are on sale now. Regular guided tours of the decorated and natural caverns are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.
Visitors of all ages will enjoy the fall colors while walking Lincoln Caverns’ nature trails, browsing in Raystown Country’s largest souvenir and gift shop and panning for real gems in the sluice. Pavilion facilities and party rooms for group outings and October birthday parties. Primitive on-site camping at Warrior Ridge Campground is also an option individuals or groups may choose to take advantage of.
Also, a Halloween party pak is available for children on Saturday mornings, which includes all group activities plus a special costume party with a Halloween craft, pizza lunch, prizes and treats.
New this year are “Friday Night Specials” for corporate and other large groups. Co-workers and other groups purchasing blocks of 20 or more tickets will receive special group rates that have never been offered before.
Tickets for the Ghosts and Goblins Tours are sold both in advance and at the door. Advantages for customers purchasing tickets prior to the date of their tour will notice a savings, as well as avoid wait time upon arrival on the day of their visit.
