Sign-ups for “Treasures for Children” will be held Thursday, October 9 and Friday, October 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tyrone Salvation Army Service Center, 908 Pennsylvania Avenue, Tyrone.
If anyone is in need of assistance with Christmas toys and other gifts, sign up during these hours. All Christmas food baskets will be handled through the Tyrone Food Bank. This is for toy sign up only.
Also, the Tyrone Salvation Army Service Center has a store which has various clothing and household items available free of charge to those in need. The store is currently open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Service Center is in need of clean, gently used fall and winter clothing for men, women, and children. Donations are graciously accepted during store hours.
