Involuntary Deviate Sexual Assault
State police reported that on the dates of June 1, 2007 and September 27, 2008, a known person 18 years of age is alleged to have sexually assaulted a six-year-old boy. Both incidents occurred in the Grazierville area of Snyder Township. Investigation continues.

Burglary
Between the dates of June 1 and June 30, state police said that unknown actor(s) arrived at the residence of Paul William Meinhart, RD 2 Box 475, Tyrone, and took possession of 15 radiators valued at $4,500. The radiators dated back from the 1920’s to 1960’s and were of various makes and models.

Loitering and Prowling
State police reported on September 27 that Mary Louise Reed, RD 3 Box 113B, Tyrone, told police that unknown actor(s) were prowling at her residence off of Baughman Hollow Road in Snyder Township. She said that this was the second type of incident at her residence, with the first incident occurring on September 7.

Hit and Run
On October 1, state police said that a crash occurred at the intersection of SR 1001 and SR 764 in Antis Township. Sandra L. Rogalla, 61, Altoona, was traveling north on SR 1001 and was coming to a stop for a traffic signal at the intersection. An unknown person driving a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer was behind Rogalla and failed to stop in time, striking her vehicle in the rear. The unknown driver then fled the scene with moderate damage done to the vehicle. Rogalla suffered a minor injury and was wearing a seat belt.
The unknown driver was located a short time later after the crash traveling southbound along SR 99, south of Exit 39. The operator had fled the area, again, in an unknown direction. Information has been received, according to police, that will aid in identifying the driver. The investigation is continuing.

Simple Assault
On October 1, state police arrested Justin Terence Didyoung, 22, who resides at Apt. 13 in Parkside Apartments located along SR 1001 in Antis Township. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Aigner after allegedly assaulting his live-in girlfriend, Amanda Nicole Lovell, 20. Lovell alleged she was pushed to the floor of the apartment, struck in the face, choked, and bitten by Didyoung. Didyoung was released subsequent to arraignment on $10,000 ROR bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Miller on Tuesday, October 14.

DUI
State police reported on October 3 that a 67-year-old Tyrone man was arrested for DUI along SR 350 near Dale Road in Rush Township. Police made a traffic stop for a violation and evasive behavior was observed. It was determined that the offender was driving under the influence and was transported to Tyrone Hospital for a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) chemical test. Charges pending the results of the BAC.
