Alexandra Barsanti, a sophomore at Hershey High School, competed in the PIAA State AAA Swimming Championships last weekend at the McCoy Natatorium at Penn State University. Alex won the third place medal in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.37 and also swam in the 400 free relay. Barsanti is the granddaughter of Don and Mary Wagner of Tyrone. Her parents are Mary Ellen (Wagner) and Ron Barsanti of Hummelstown. Mary Ellen is a 1979 graduate of Tyrone Area High School.
