Two Hunter-Trapper Education classes are planned for northern Blair County in the upcoming weeks. These multi-day classes fulfill the safety-training requirements to obtain a hunting license.
The Bellwood Sportsman Club is offering a two-day course to be held from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm on Friday, March 26 and from 9:00 am until 4:30 pm on Saturday, March 27. Students must attend both days in order to complete the class. Lunch will be provided during the Saturday session. Take the Bellwood exit off of I-99, the club is located along Rte. 865 about 3 miles north of Bellwood. Just look for the club sign.

A three-day Hunter-Trapper Education course will be held at the Blair County Game, Fish and Forestry Association on Tuesday, April 27, Wednesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 29. The classes run from 6 to 9:30 pm on each of the three days and students must attend every session in order to complete the class.
To locate the Blair County Game, Fish & Forestry Association lodge, students should take the Pinecroft exit off of I-99 to the traffic light on SR 220. Drive through the intersection and proceed to the “T” intersection and turn left. Turn right onto Riggles Gap Road immediately after a sharp turn in the road. Proceed through the crossroads and continue on Riggles Gap Road for over two miles. Turn right onto Sportsman Club Road at the Blair Game sign.
