A Tyrone man was charged with passing a bad check after an early August incident in Port Matilda.
State police issued a report last week that 21-year-old Joshua D. Shuey was charged with passing a check at Lykens Market for $24.77 that failed to clear the bank. Charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Allen Sinclair’s office.

A Fallentimber woman escaped injury during an incident on State Route 865 near the Bellwood Sportsman’s Club in Antis Township on Oct. 8.
State police said while Fonetta I. Gates was traveling through the area between 4 and 4:15 p.m., someone threw an unknown object that struck the right side rear passenger’s door of her 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix.

State police investigated a case of criminal mischief at the Martin’s Food Store parking lot in Antis Township on Oct. 12.
The incident happened sometime around 8:45 p.m. when someone cut the right front tire of a 1989 Ford Bronco belonging to Peggy Shawley of RR 7 of Altoona.

A 17-year-old male reported he was the victim of harassment at a location on Teaberry Street in Snyder Township on Oct. 20 around 7:45 p.m.
Police said the teen claimed a male known to him assaulted him. However, based on the statements of witnesses and a lack of evidence of an assault police determined the report was unfounded.

Huntingdon County-based state police investigated a criminal mischief at a business in Warriors Mark Township that happened between 5 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 4 a.m. on Oct. 21.
Someone damaged a Pepsi machine belonging to the Pepsi Bottling Company of Johnstown. The machine was located at the New Enterprise Stone & Lime Company Asphalt plant on Route 350.
New Enterprise’s location in Snyder Township on Route 453 was the scene of a theft between 12 midnight and 5 a.m. on Oct. 21.
Someone broke into a soda machine there and removed a small amount of money.

Conner Heating and Air in Tipton was the scene of burglary sometime between 5 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 21.
State police said someone entered the business and broke into a safe. Money was taken from inside the safe and a cordless drill was taken from one of the company’s trucks.

Two teenagers suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Oct. 22 at 8:15 a.m. in Snyder Township.
A vehicle driven by 17-year-old Mattea N. Kauffman was traveling south on State Route 4027. She was rounding the “paper mill curve” and lost control of her vehicle on the wet road. Her car went of the road and struck a warning side on the west berm of the road.
After striking the sign, Kauffman’s vehicle continued to travel and struck a large rock with its front end. The vehicle came to rest against the rock.
Kauffman was wearing a seat belt and suffered a minor injury. Her passenger, 16-year-old John Vanallman, was also wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.
Kauffman’s vehicle had moderate damage.
