Mrs. Kathleen S. Winslow, 83, of 1302 Blair Avenue, Tyrone, died Wednesday morning, January 4, 2006 at the Tyrone Hospital.
She was born May 5, 1922 in Tyrone a daughter of Patrick Franklin and Minnie M. (Worley) Singler.
She was married July 19, 1947 at Warriors Mark to Devon Dean Winslow who died March 18, 1970.
She is survived by two sons: Randall P. Winslow of suburban Phila. and Gregory S. Winslow and his wife Cynthia A. of Griffin, Ga.; three grandchildren: Valerie and Scott Winslow and Taylor Alyse Winslow; great-grandchildren: Brett and Lauren and a sister, Patricia L. Hildebrand and her husband Thomas of Tyrone.
She was preceded in death by sisters Margret Singler, Florence Dinges, brothers Maurice and Leonard and a grandson Jason.
She was a former member of the Tyrone Church of the Good Shepherd. She was a graduate of Tyrone High School in 1940 and was crowned “Miss Tyrone” in 1941. She was a homemaker and previously employed by AT&T in Baltimore, J.R. Wald Plant and Long’s Dairy Store in Tyrone.
Private funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2006 at 8 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
