Eugene O. Parson, age 92, of Beverly Healthcare-Hillview, Altoona formerly of Bellwood died Sunday afternoon, January 8, 2006 at Beverly Healthcare.
He was born in Spruce Creek on August 27, 1913 the son of Oscar D. and Violet E. (Kling) Parson.
He married Kathleen V. Woleslagle of Palmyra, who survives.
Mr. Parson was a member of First Baptist Church of Altoona. He retired from P.R.R. as a Machinist from 1939 to 1972. He served in a PA CCC in 1933.
He was a member of the Altoona City Baseball League from 1940-45 and was an avid Pitts. Pirate fan.
He is survived by his wife; daughters: Diann K. Seilhamer of Altoona, Karen L. Wheland of Palmyra and Joyce A. of Tyrone; sons: Gene G. of Grazierville, James D. of Bellwood and Danny L. of Tyrone; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers Cameron and Ebert.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing.
Arrangements by Vincent J. Good Funeral Parlor, Bellwood.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Blair Memorial Park Chapel, Bellwood with Rev. Charles Kiloski officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
