Dorothy Y. Gray, 86, of Tyrone died Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 12:52 a.m. at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
She was born July 16, 1919 in Howard, a daughter of Ernest S. and Myra Mae (Gray) Yaudes. On April 22, 1939 in Tyrone she married Donald C. Gray. He died May 19, 1992.
Surviving are two daughters: Anna Marie Quigel and husband Henry of Williamsport and Phyllis D. Albert and husband Nelson of Bald Eagle; a son, Donald W. of Altoona; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Relda Park of Bald Eagle, Virgie DeSanta of Cogan Station and Leah Ray of Bellwood and two brothers: Harold Yaudes of Tyrone and Harris Yaudes of Vail. She was preceded in death by a brother Ernest Yaudes.
Mrs. Gray retired in 1984 from Epworth Manor as a cook following 18 years service. She was a member of the Northwood Baptist Chapel.
Dorothy enjoyed baking, crafts and playing cards.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 5, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Tim Tangen officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
