Harry J. Simparosa, age 83, of 19 E. 10th Street, Tyrone, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006 at 1:45 p.m. at Montifiore Hospital, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh.
He was born Dec. 31, 1922 in Tyrone, the son of James Simparosa and Elizabeth Anniscitti Simparosa.
He is survived by two brothers: James Simparosa, Lock Haven and Joseph Simparosa, St. Petersburg, FL and three half-brothers: Jerry Reed, Bellwood, Wayne Reed, Loretto and Terry Reed, Altoona.
A sister Jenny predeceased him.
Mr. Simparosa retired from the United States Army with 26 years of service including World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre, the Korean Conflict and later was a drill Sergeant for trainees for Vietnam.
A private service with flag presentation followed by interment in Oak Grove Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
