Tina Marie Shirk, 40, of Pleasant Gap, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center.
She was born on April 29, 1966 in Tyrone to Raymond G. Weaver Sr. of Bellefonte and the late Lois Jean Kennedy Weaver.
On June 23, 1990 she married Dean Richard Shirk who survives at home.
She was a graduate of State College High School.
She was employed in the Housing Dept. at Penn State.
She was also a steward in the student union at Penn State. She enjoyed the outdoors, arts and crafts, in particular that of snowmen. She loved her family and family gatherings especially Christmas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
In addition to her husband and father she is survived by a daughter, Brittany Marie Shirk of Pleasant Gap; two sons, Bryan Lee Weaver of Pleasant Gap and his two children Anisha Marie Weaver and Mason Andrew Tomlinson, and Chad Alan Weaver of Pleasant Gap; three sisters, Brenda Kay Vonada and her husband Curtiss of Port Matilda, Sheila Louise Showers of Howard, Michelle Lynn Jenkins and her husband Ernie of Pleasant Gap; three brothers, Raymond G. Weaver Jr. and his significant other Jo Ann Snyder of Centre Hall, Dwayne Allen Weaver of Bellefonte, Michael Eugene Weaver and his wife Michele of Centre Hall; and her father in law Charles L. Shirk Sr. of Lemont and mother in law Betty Marie Shirk of Lock Haven.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services PC, State College, PA 16801. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the funeral home with the Rev. Alex Dyakiw officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
