A theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property occurred from November 1 to December 5, 2006.
Kenneth Edward Brodman, of Altoona, was charged with the above crimes after it was discovered that he was allegedly keeping the receipts after sales at Adult World in Antis Township. The estimated loss is set at $3,000.
He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller. He was released on $35,000 unsecured bail.

A case of theft by unlawful taking occurred at Teaberry Street Apartments in Snyder Township on February 24.
Unknown actors arrived and entered the apartment of Cortney Gipprich and removed some medication from the bathroom. There were no signs of forced entry to the apartment.

A theft occurred a Tyrone Area High School on February 26.
This incident occurred as Paula Marie Binus, age 51 of Altoona, left her $17,500 wedding ring unattended in her office during the school day. At the end of the day, she noticed her ring missing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Hollidaysburg State Police or Tyrone School District officials.

A sexual abuse of children and unlawful contact with a minor occurred in Antis Township between February 1 and March 1, 2007.
A white male, age and address unknown, met the victim, a 12-year-old female from Altoona, in an online chat room. There may have been sexually explicit material exchanged.
The investigation continues.

A case of arson occurred at Shaffer’s Junkyard in Spruce Creek Township on March 3, 2007.
This incident occurred as unknown actors intentionally lit five junk vehicles on fire by unknown means.
The burning vehicles were discovered by a Norfolk Southern Railroad Conductor as his train passed the junk yard.
Warriors Mark Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the fires.

A one car accident occurred on SR 4015 in Antis Township March 3.
Michael Bork of Altoona was traveling south on SR 4015 (Grandview Road) and lost control while negotiating a left curve. His vehicle ran off the road and hit a utility pole.
Bork was not injured, but the accident did knock out the power to the area for about an hour.
