On Sunday morning, March 11, veteran missionary Jack Belin will be the featured speaker at First Assembly of God at 12th Street and Blair Avenue in Tyrone, according to Pastor William Glunt.
Everyone will be warmly welcomed and richly inspired to hear exciting, faith-building testimonies of God’s supernatural intervention in some of the world’s most challenging mission fields.
As active participants in the history-altering Latin American revival of the 90s, the Belins have been eye-witnesses to miraculous healings rivaling those recorded in the New Testament. During their 11 years in Bolivia, our hemisphere’s poorest nation, they were instrumental in establishing 76 new churches, a Bible Institute to train pastors and Christian workers and the Freedom! School, serving more than a thousand children living inside the Palmasola Penitentiary.
In addition, they spent three years serving in Southern Asia, one of the world’s most needy mission fields with 1.2 billion unreached souls.
Located inside the “ten-forty window”, Southern Asia is the birthplace of Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Animism, and is the home of 85 percent of the world’s poorest people.
Not withstanding abject poverty and some of the most brutal persecution in recent history, the church in Southern Asia is growing.
ICI University has enrolled more than 350,000 students in Bible courses in the area and churches are multiplying like never before.
Currently Jack serves as director of the Global Food Project of Convoy of Hope, with headquarters in Springfield, Mo. His extensive experience working and living among the poor of South America and Southern Asia has challenged him to share the liberating holistic Gospel of Jesus with the world’s starving masses. Through the ministries of Convoy of Hope, million of pounds of food have been distributed to more than seven million souls an thousands have declared Christ their Savior.
Convoy of Hope seeks to make honored guests of some of the most marginalized people on earth, “loving them into the kingdom of God.”
