Allegheny Chorale members, under the direction of Mrs. Debbie Estright, are presenting their spring concert entitled, “This Is Why We Sing” at the Tipton Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 6 at 7 p.m. The Allegheny Chorale will also perform at First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, May 13 at 7 p.m. The program includes spirituals, classics and brand new pieces. The concerts are free of charge, and the public is encouraged to attend. This is the 23rd season that Allegheny Chorale has been making a joyful noise with local talent. Allegheny Chorale presents this spring songfest, performs at Christmas-time at these churches and visits local nursing homes as well. There are no auditions for membership, simply a love of music and a willingness to attend weekly rehearsals on Tuesday evenings during the school year months. Allegheny Chorale invites all members of the community to come sing with the group or to attend an upcoming concert. For more information, call 684-ART2 and leave a message.
