M. Adair Almy, age 82, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Bethesda United Methodist Church. Rev. Jim Cabaniss, Rev. Dr. Elizabeth McCormick and Mr. Logan Almy will officiate. Visitation afterward in the church Fellowship Hall.
Mrs. Almy was born December 30, 1925 in Blair County, PA to Harry D. Peary and Mary M. (Cherry) Peary. She was a former librarian and retired secretary at Sewickley UMC. She was the secretary for the Strawbridge Homeowners Association. She was a former member of Leetsdale Presbyterian Church and a member of Bethesda UMC.
She is preceded by her husband of 62 years, Robert Joseph Almy in October of 2007. She is survived by sons and wives: Stephen and Sandra Almy, Lawrenceville; Barry and Betsy Almy, Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren: Travis and wife Jessie Almy, Marietta; Autumn and husband Josh Slatky, Lubbock, TX; Logan and wife Natalie Almy, St. Louis, MO; Trevor and wife Katie Almy, Mobile, AL; great-grandsons: Austin and Brodie Almy and Jackson Slatky.
