Mrs. Lois Ann McFarland, age 68, of Warriors Mark, died Monday, July 7, 2008 at Epworth Manor. She was born July 20, 1939 in Philipsburg to the late Lorena Detwiler and Raymond Nearhoof. She was married to Donald E. McFarland on July 24, 1959 in Cumberland, MD. Mr. McFarland passed away on May 11, 2007.
Surviving are one daughter, Cynthia and husband John Sarver of Warriors Mark and one sister, Debora Meenan of Carlisle, PA.
Mrs. McFarland was a graduate of Tyrone High School, Class of 1957.
She was a member of Spring Mount Church of the Brethren. She retired from Penn State as an administrative assistant following 37 years of service. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, and volunteering at the Warriors Mark Vol. Fire Co. where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid Tyrone Golden Eagle and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
