Tressa C. Sipes, 90, formerly of Fostoria, went to be with the Lord Monday morning, March 31, 2008 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
She was born on July 18, 1917 in Fostoria, Antis Township, a daughter of the late John and Jessie (Thomas) Morder.
Surviving are sons: Charles L. Morder and wife, Lucille of Tyrone RD 5 and R. Daniel Julius and wife, Marilyn of Stafford, VA; three grandchildren: Jim Morder and wife, Alice, Sue Ann Woodard and Jon Julius and wife, Missy; six great-grandchildren: Kimberly, Jessie, Natalie, Kristin, Eric and Fayth; a twin sister: Mildred Westover of Westover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles and a sister, Catherine Sneath.
Tressa retired in 1979 as a knitting supervisor at Puritan Sportswear and also from Marianna Foods, Tipton with 20 years of service.
She was a graduate of Bellwood High School.
Tressa attended Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood and Tipton Baptist Church.
She enjoyed archery competitions and ceramics.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood with Pastor John Pine officiating.
Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
