Ruth Bethel Miles, age 90, of 122 Eastern Avenue, DuBois, PA passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
She was born October 16, 1917 in Irvona, PA to the late Willard and Irene (Wall) McCully.
She married Reverend Melvin B. Miles on November 21, 1936 in Cumberland, Maryland.
He preceded her in death March 7, 1981.
She was a member of the DuBois Alliance Church, DuBois, PA.
She was a homemaker and served many years as a pastor’s wife.
She is survived by a daughter Mrs. James (Janet) Duttry, DuBois, PA; two sons William B. Miles, DuBois, PA; Kenneth J. Miles, Tyrone, PA; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc., 142 West Long Avenue, DuBois, PA and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the DuBois Alliance Church, DuBois, PA.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the DuBois Alliance Church with Reverend Tim Connor officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, LaJose, PA.
