Maxine L. Peters, 83, of Tipton, died Sunday morning, April 6, 2008 at Valley View Home.
She was born March 1, 1926 in Warriors Mark, a daughter of Adolphus and Lottie (Reeder) Carper.
She married Alfred E. Peters, who died September 22, 1994.
She was of Protestant faith and retired from Penn State, State College from environmental services.
She enjoyed her family and shopping.
Surviving are daughters Jane Haggart of Bellwood and Shirley Stouffer of Tipton; sons Fred of Sandy Ridge and Daniel of Tyrone; sisters Marie Williams of State College and Geraldine Coover of Sandy Ridge; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Alfred E. Peters Jr.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 at Vincent J. Good Funeral Parlor, Bellwood.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9 at the funeral parlor with Pastor Peggy Bonsell officiating.
Interment at Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
