Helen L. Taylor, 77, formerly of 2 West 11th St., Tyrone, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Huntingdon Nursing Center, Huntingdon, Pa. after a lengthy illness.
She was born October 24, 1930 in Snyder Twp. a daughter of Paul and Elizabeth (Dale) Mills, Sr.
She was twice married, first to the late Richard Sprankle, then formerly to Stuart Taylor who survives in Tyrone.
She is survived by three daughters: Sandra D. McClellan of Tyrone, Patti Turiano (George) of Warriors Mark, Penny Oestreich of Bellwood.
Eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A brother Robert Mills of Nashville, Tenn. and sisters Barbara Kiser and Florence Burton of Erie, Pa.
She was preceded in death by a brother Paul Mills, Jr. and sisters Janet Hoegel and Darlene Barony.
She was a graduate of Tyrone High School in 1949 and was a homemaker.
She had retired from Big Yank Corp.
There will be no viewing.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Pastor Adam Kravets officiating. Inurnment will be at Charlottesville Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour before the service on Saturday.
