Nancy Coopper Kaspick, 56, of Charlottesville, died from complications of a long-standing illness on Monday, April 7, 2008 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Stillwater, OK, she was the daughter of Mary E. Van Norman of Fairfax, VA and the late Roderick A. Coopper. Nancy was happily married for 34 years to Fred M. Kaspick. More than anything, she enjoyed making a home for her husband and their son, Jason Andrew.
Nancy received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia School of Nursing and worked as a floor nurse at UVA Hospital and later at the Student Health Department and Eye Clinic.
Her last employment was with Humagen. She was a fabulous cook, a gentle and kind spirit and a fantastic friend.
Other survivors include her two brothers, Alan Robert Coopper, of Washington, DC and Brian Edward Coopper, of Alexandria, VA.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, April 12 from 2 to 4 p.m., culminating in a celebration of Nancy’s life at the Hill & Wood Funeral Home in downtown Charlottesville.
