Yesterday, three Jaffa Clowns visited Tyrone Area Elementary School where they demonstrated to second graders how they put their makeup on before each performance. Every year, the Jaffa Clowns sponsor the children’s trip to the circus. They choose to do this demonstration to show kids there’s no reason to be scared of clowns. While the men made themselves up, students asked questions about what it’s like to be a clown. Before each performance, it takes about one hour to put on the clown makeup and nearly half an hour to take it off after a show. (The Daily Herald/Amanda Golden)
