Lost Wallet
On October 5, state police reported that Christopher Lynn Jeffries, 20, Tyrone, lost his wallet at Martin General Store in Alexandria, Porter Township. A few days later the wallet was returned to the store, minus the cash that was in the wallet.

Theft of Services
Between the dates of August 20 to October 7, state police reported that Rodney Lynn Carper, 42, Tyrone, allegedly tampered with an electric meter and obtained an unauthorized use of power from Penelec. The incident occurred at Carper’s residence along Old 220, south of Grazierville. Charges were filed at District Magistrate Fred B. Miller’s office.

Theft from Motor Vehicle
On October 9, state police said that unknown actor(s) took a black foot locker from the truck bed of a truck owned by Joseph Michael Neary II, 25, Bellwood. The incident occurred in the area of Burkett and Hundred Springs Road in Warriors Mark Township. The foot locker contained various paint ball equipment and other items. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to contact Huntingdon State Police at 814-627-3161, and refer to incident number G03-1134460.

Crash
State police said that on October 10, Leah N. McMillen, 22, Tyrone, was driving along SR 1001, approximately one half mile north of SR 4023 in Antis Township, when she swerved to avoid striking an opossum in the roadway. McMillen lost control of her vehicle, which rotated clockwise and exited the roadway. The vehicle, a 2001 Saturn, entered a yard and the left front door struck a tree. She was wearing a seat belt, but was transported to Altoona Hospital for injuries by Tipton EMS. Police stated that McMillen was charged for not driving her vehicle at a safe speed.

Fell Asleep
On October 10, state police reported that a crash occurred when Ryan M. Crownover, 22, Altoona, was traveling west on Sabbath Rest Road in Antis Township and attempted to negotiate a right curve, but fell asleep at the wheel in the process. His vehicle then left the left side of the roadway and impacted into a mailbox. He continued traveling in a southwest direction and had a second impact into a house. The vehicle traveled southwest approximately 250-300 feet through the grass before it finally came to rest. Crownover was not injured and was wearing his seat belt. A passenger in the vehicle, Kathy L. Crownover, 51, Altoona, suffered a minor injury and was also wearing a seat belt. The driver was cited for careless driving.
