Simple Assault
On September 14, state police reported that Matthew Scott Mallory, 22, Tyrone is being charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct after engaging in a fight with a known 32-year-old male from Tyrone. The incident occurred on Teaberry Street in Snyder Township.

Scattering Rubbish
State police said that on September 17 an incident occurred when Todd Stein of CDG Properties in Bellefonte went to a field along Granny Lane in Halfmoon Township, owned by Kenneth Lee Vaux of Tyrone, and dumped concrete, wet cement, and dirt on the property. There was confusion on the part of Stein as to where he was to dump the aforementioned items. Stein is in the process of removing the aforementioned items off of Vaux’s property.

Lost Control
State police reported on September 19 that Matthew R. Markel, 27, Tyrone was traveling south on T537, Keifertown Road, in Warriors Mark Township and attempted to negotiate a curve in the roadway before losing control of his 2000 Lincoln Continental. Markel’s vehicle slid across the roadway onto the east berm and struck a tree. Markel was transported from the scene by AMED and taken to Altoona Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Warriors Mark fire personnel assisted at the scene. Markel was wearing a seat belt.

Stole Gas
On September 23, state police said that a white male, driving a gold Dodge Intrepid, pumped 13 gallons of gasoline and fled without paying at Rossi’s Corner Store in Antis Township. Grill/Foglights Taken
State police reported that over the night of September 25 unknown actor(s) removed the front grill and fog lights from a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer owned by Terry L. Crawford, 38, Tyrone. The vehicle was parked along a pull off on SR 453 at Huntingdon Furnace in Warriors Mark Township. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police in Huntingdon at 814-627-3161.

Harassment/Domestic
On September 27, state police said that Shawn Michael Aman, 31, Tyrone assaulted Michelle Anna Aman, 32, Tyrone along Teaberry Street in Snyder Township. The victim did not suffer any injuries from the incident. The accused suffered a severe laceration on his right wrist after punching a fish tank inside the residence. He was transported to the Altoona Hospital Trauma Center by EMS personnel.

Fire Investigation
State police reported on September 28 that an officer was called to 10013 South Eagle Valley Road in Taylor Township, Port Matilda, due to a report of a residential fire. The structure on fire was a single story wood framed home owned by James R. Thompson, 44, Port Matilda. An origin and cause investigation was conducted. The origin of the fire was determined to be the living room area of the structure. The cause of the fire was electrical. Damage was estimated at over $140,000. Police were assisted at the scene by Port Matilda Fire Co., Bald Eagle Fire Co., and Philipsburg Fire Co.
