Ressa G. (Kustaborder) Benner-Polignone, 88, of RR2 Box 114 Tyrone died Monday morning, April 14, 2008 at 7 a.m. at Epworth Manor following a short illness.
She was born August 25, 1919 in Bellwood, a daughter of James A. and Ressa L. (Johnston) Kustaborder.
She was first married to the late Chester Harold Benner and second to the late Raymond J. Polignone.
She attended the Bellwood Church of the Brethren and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed being a mother, crocheting, dancing, reading, exercising and taking long walks.
She was a member of AARP who enjoyed taking trips with that club.
She is survived by daughters: Joann L. (Benner) Miller Foster (Leon) of LaQuinta, CA, Ethel J. (Benner) Partner (Gary) of Altoona and Brenda L. Benner of Phoenix, AZ; sons: Robert H. Benner (Priscilla) of Gaithersburg, MD, Richard E. Benner (Darlene) of Harrisburg and Gerald A. Benner (Kathy) of Rochester, NY; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; sister: Violet M. (Kustaborder) Champion and brother: James W. Kustaborder.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 17 and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Vincent J. Good Funeral Parlor, Bellwood.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 18 at the funeral parlor with Pastor John Winesickle officiating.
Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
