A local family is in need of the community’s support.
Scott Clark, of RD3 Box 43A, Tyrone was in a dirt bike accident on Labor Day, and now there is a possibility he will be paralyzed from the waist-down After several surgeries, doctors still don’t know the extent of his injuries, and Scott could be in the hospital for a year or two.
Scott is currently at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, and his wife, Darlene, is staying every day at the hospital with him. The family does not have enough money for Darlene to stay at a hotel. She is not working right now, so she can be with Scott.
The couple has three children attending Tyrone Area School District – Scott Jr., Cassandra and Shanyn – and Darlene’s mother is taking care of the children for now.
Scott Jr. is 17-years-old, and has gone through medical treatments for an in-operable brain tumor. It has slowed down or stopped, so he is back to school as a senior at TAHS. The tumor is something Scott Jr. will have to get checked for the rest of his life. Doctors could have performed surgery, but the operation was a very risky one, so Scott Jr. decided not to do it.
Needless to say, the Clark family is in great need of community support.
The family would like all churches in the area to include them on their prayer lists.

Also, Tracy Bryan is an independent consultant for Creative Memories Scrapbooking. She said for any materials sold in the month of September, a percentage of it will go to the Clark family. If anyone is interested, contact Tracy at 686-1878.
Whren Associates, located at 1057 Logan Avenue in Tyrone, is also accepting donations of non-perishable items to be taken to the house. If anyone is interested in donating, they can drop it off at their office.
