The 2008 American Legion/VFW Joint Veterans Day ceremony was held yesterday and featured guest speaker Gary E. Crowell. Tyrone Area High School’s POPS Extension also performed some musical selections. The ceremony took place at the American Legion home, and several residents from the area attended the event in honor of Veterans Day. (The Daily Herald/Amanda Golden)
