The Board of Directors and Corporate Members of Tyrone Hospital will hold a special meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in the LGI Room of the Tyrone Elementary School.
The Board will give an update on their efforts to plan to bring the hospital out of bankruptcy.
Additionally, a presentation will be given by an independent health care consulting firm engaged by a group of corporate members. This management group will offer the Board of Directors several options for improving the hospital’s financial outlook and increase chances for bringing the hospital out of bankruptcy to ensure that Tyrone and the surrounding communities maintain a full service hospital.
Corporate members, or their designee represented by proxy, are urged to attend.
The meeting is not open to the public as the Board and Corporate members strive to work together to bring the hospital out of bankruptcy.
The hospital filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in September of 2006 but has not yet submitted a recovery plan to the court.
