Charles Meck will be the featured speaker at the Saturday at 6 p.m. meeting of the Little Juniata River Chapter of the Federation of Fly Fishers. The meeting will be held at the new Train Station in Tyrone. Meck will talk about his new book, “The Hatches Made Simple,” and autograph books. The talk and the meeting are open to the public.
Meck has written nine books on fly fishing. His “Pennsylvania Trout Streams and Their Hatches” has sold over 50,000 copies. His nine books have sold more than 150,000 copies worldwide. Meck’s next book, number ten, “101 Innovative Fly Tying Tips” will be published in November 2002 and his eleventh book, “All Those Hatches- All Those Memories,” will come out in May 2003.
Several years ago Meck donated copies of all of his books to the Tyrone Public Library. He lives in Pennsylvania Furnace in the summer and spends his winters in Arizona.
