Last night, the Kiwanis Club of Tyrone held it’s annual Installation Banquet for new officer induction. The new officers are President, Pete Dutrow; President-Elect, TM Talbot-Moses; and Vice-President, Tim Miller. Sue O’Brien will remain as Secretary and George Stever stays as Treasurer for the 2002-03 term.
Kiwanis Lt. Governor, Joe Reed, Division 11W, PA District Kiwanis, conducted the induction of officers. He charges each one with their actual responsibilities for the year and what he expects of them also. Reed speaks on behalf of the Pennsylvania District Governor of Kiwanis, Don Sanker.
The speaker of the night was Gene Kephart, from Executive Director and Founder of Cen-Clear Services, Inc. He spoke on why Kiwanis should be important in the lives of children.
New president inductee, Pete Dutrow, spoke candidly, “I feel it is going to be a challenge for me as president because the Club has done so well in the past…I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
Kiwanis meets every Tuesday at 7 a.m., with one business meeting with the officers.
