The Officer Council meeting of Kiwanis is Monday, October 7 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. following the regular State College Kiwanis Meeting at the Days Inn in downtown, State College located at Pugh Street, 1 block east of Beaver Avenue.
This will be the first Officer Council Meeting of the new year. Past District Governor, Fred Redslob, will attend to discuss ways to generate more interest in your clubs and attract new members, as well as possible sites for forming new clubs. Many of the clubs in both Divisions are quite small and others have good membership, but poor attendance. Let’s share some ideas for improving our clubs. Joe Reed, Lt. Governor for 11W, and I are trying to join forces and have a combined meeting. This one will be in 11E. Probably, the next will be in 11W.
30Million Words by Age 6- the new District YCPO Project- will also be discussed. Our own Joe Barrett, from Mt. Union, has agreed to be the Division 11E Project Coordinator. He will tell us what the program is and we can brainstorm ideas for how best to get started.
This is the perfect way to get an interclub for October. There are no other divisional interclubs scheduled. Bring your officers- and any other interested club members- and share ideas. If you have other concerns about your club or divisions, we’ll certainly deal with them as well.
