In a game played Saturday at 10:00 p.m. at the Indiana Ice Center, The Central PA Wolves major ice hockey team played to a 2-2 tie with the Northern Cambria Colts.
The visitors spotted the Northern Cambria Colts a 2-0 advantage, then came back to earn the draw.
Johnny Moore of Huntingdon cut the Colts lead in half to 2-1 with a first period goal with assists from team captain and Bellwood-Antis senior Chris White and Spring Cove freshman Craig Thompson. Following a scoreless second period, Central PA tied the game on a goal from D. J. Clawson of Tussey Mountain with an assist from Central’s Matt Kennedy.
Next action will be Thursday against the Marian Center Stingers at 8:30 p.m. at Galactic Ice.
In junior varsity action, Central Penn scored six goals in the first period to rip the Northern Cambria Reapers 9-2.
Craig Thompson scored a hat trick for the Wolves with three goals and added an assist. Bryan Carthew (Chestnut Ridge) scored twice, Josh Kennedy (Spring Cove) had four assists and a one goal. Adam Erlichman (Bedford) and Justin Howard (Tyrone) has two assists each. Chris Carthew (Chestnut Ridge) and Taj Zielezinski (Bedford) had a goal and an assist and Kevin Perrin (Bedford) scored one goal.
