A host of Tyrone elementary wrestlers participated at Glendale in The Glendale Wrestling Tournament this past Saturday. Wrestlers who took part were Ty Snyder, Nicholas Getz, Christian Getz, Mark McMonigal, Ryan Isenberg, Ben Smerekar and Jacob Smerekar.
Ty Snyder & Nicholas Getz both placed first in their age and weight class.
Ty Snyder also won the Outstanding Wrestler award for his efforts on the mat in his age group.
Christian Getz and Jacob Smerekar placed third in their age and weight class.
The following wrestlers participated at the Southern Huntingdon Tournament. Dustin Stroup, Corey Snyder, Darren Reese, Andrew Warrender and Blake Brooks.
Finally, T. J. Albright, Anthony Romano, Ronnie Garbinsky and Jarid Woomer traveled to the Philadelphia area to enter the Warwick Area Tournament. Ronnie Garbinsky wrestled in two age groups winning a first and fourth places, T. J. Albright placed third and Anthony Romano placed fourth in their age and weight class.
