Tyrone native Kris A. Eschbach recently graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Eschbach graduated from Tyrone Area High School in 1977, the Radiologic Technology Program of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1979, and the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1980. She remained at Thomas Jefferson as a Staff Sonographer and was Chief Sonographer at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia from 1981 to 1983. From 1985 to 1987 she was an echocardiographer at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was an Ultrasound Sales Representative for Corometrics Medical Systems in Wallingford, CT in 1987-88 and from 1989 to 1990 she was President of Krislan Ultrasonix Inc. in Concord, NH.
She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire in 1996. This year she won the Jack Parfitt Award at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine as the outstanding New Hampshire student who exemplifies the osteopathic concept. Dr. Eschbach will serve an internship in the Department of Medicine at the Maine Medical Center, Portland, ME followed by a residency in the Department of Radiology at the same location.
Dr. Eschbach is the daughter of Donna Eschbach Henry of Philipsburg and the late John W. Eschbach. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. George A. Eschbach, 1614 Columbia Avenue, Tyrone. She is married to Dr. F. Jay Pittochelli, professor of biology at Saint Anselm College, Manchester, NH.
