Injuries reported
Police were called to state Route 220, approximately 500 feet south of California Hollow Road in Snyder Township, at 6:21 p.m. Sunday to investigate an accident. Police said Renee Trexler of Altoona was southbound when she lost control of her vehicle on the wet roadway and struck a northbound vehicle operated by Albert Besse of Greensburg. After the initial impact, the Trexler vehicle spun around and struck a vehicle operated by Claire Carruthers of Duncansvillle, who was traveling behind Trexler. Trexler and a passenger, Korban Trexler of Altoona suffered minor injuries. Besse suffered minor injuries, but a passenger in his vehicle suffered moderate injuries. (The Daily Herald/Virgie Werner)
