It will be a special moment tomorrow morning when Ninth Congressional District candidate Michael DelGrosso knocks on the door of Dorothy Cressler.
The greeting of the Shippensburg woman will mark the 10,000th Republican door DelGrosso has knocked on since beginning the marathon campaign back in June 2003.
“When you add all the doors I’ve knocked on to all the factory visits, county fairs, sporting events and things like that, I will have met nearly one half of the people who will be voting in the primary,” said DelGrosso. “People want a candidate that is accessible to them and I think I’ve already proven that.”
DelGrosso said during his 15-county tour, he has logged more than 20,000 driving miles and hundreds more on foot.
