Details have been released regarding a drug deal which dates back to October. Nickolas L. Smith, 19, of RD 3 Box 112 A, Tyrone, was arrested for selling 10 Oxycodone pills to a state police undercover trooper.
The exchange took place at 2:50 p.m. on Oct. 11, 2003 at the intersection of Washington Avenue and 7th Street in Tyrone Borough. The police report lists Oxycodone as a schedule II narcotic.

Police report someone damaged a bulletin board in the Tytoona Natural Area in Sinking Valley sometime between March 31 and April 3. Also, trash was scattered throughout the area.

A 40-year-old Altoona man was involved in a one-vehicle accident on April 1 in Antis Township. Police report Christopher Rupert was traveling on Bellemeade Drive at about 3:20 in the afternoon when his car went into a ditch off the roadway. Rupert was wearing a seat belt and no injury was reported.

A one-vehicle accident on evening of April 3 sent a Tyrone woman to Altoona Hospital.
Patty Gonder, age 30, was traveling south on state route 4021 in Antis Township when her vehicle left the road and traveled onto the west shoulder and struck a utility pole with the front of her Jeep Cherokee. The woman was wearing a seat belt and no condition information was listed in the state police report.

Two mailboxes were damaged on state route 865 about two miles north of Bellwood Borough in Antis Township. The incidents occurred at approximately 4 a.m. on April 4. The mailboxes were smashed according to details in the police incident report on the criminal mischief activity.

A hit and run accident involving a St. Marys and Philipsburg man is being investigated in Snyder Township.
The incident occurred when a pick-up truck operated by James Brock of Saint Marys hit the front of a Mack truck operated by David Croyle in the early afternoon hours of April 4.
Brock was attempting to make a lane change at the Interstate 99 South on ramp from state route 220. After impacting Croyle’s truck, Brock did not attempt to stop and left the scene. However, police were able to obtain a registration on Brock’s pick-up truck and they continue their investigation.

A three-vehicle accident caused severe damage in the wake of the incident last Tuesday at 10:15 in the morning in Snyder Township.
The accident occurred at the on ramp to Interstate 99 southbound from Bald Eagle when a pick up truck operated by 64-year-old Rodney Brown of Morrisdale was attempting to merge between the other two vehicles as they proceeded south.
One of the other vehicles, a triaxle truck, operated by 46-year-old Gerald Cohenour of Three Springs slowed down and was struck in rear by Brown’s pick up. The other vehicle operated by 43-year-old Darlene Beaver of Ridgway was also then struck in the rear by Brown’s vehicle.
His vehicle and Beaver’s sustained serious damage and had to be towed from the scene. No damage was reported to Cohenour’s vehicle and there was no report on any injuries.

State police report a burglary and criminal trespass incident in the Northwood area of Snyder Township last Thursday. Someone forcibly entered a residence on Meade Street at 4:30 in the morning but nothing was reported to have been taken from the residence. Police did not specify an exact address in their report or list a victim’s name.

A case of criminal mischief occurred at a residence last week along Golf Course Road. Police report someone damaged a front door on Thursday sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

A burglary last Thursday in Snyder Township netted about $900 for the perpetrators according to state police.
Someone entered a residence located on state route 4031 through an unlocked rear door between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
