Tyrone Borough Police Chief Joseph Beachem confirmed this morning that a two-vehicle accident killed a Tyrone woman yesterday afternoon.
Killed in the accident was 80-year-old Marian L. Eckley of 2 Logan Ridge Village, Tyrone. Her husband was also in the vehicle, but a condition update was unavailable.
This morning, Chief Beachem told The Daily Herald the investigating officer was scheduled in by late morning to file a report, afterwhich, more details of the crash and everyone involved would be disclosed.
Although complete details of the accident weren’t available to the media, it is known the accident occurred sometime after noon yesterday near the I-99 exit ramp.
