Hollidaysburg State Police
An early morning tractor trailer fire left a portion of Interstate 99 closed just south of the Pinecroft exit.
State Police reported the incident occurred about 5 a.m. this morning Traffic was diverted off I-99 at the Pinecroft exit southbound. Traffic was reopened to one lane shortly after 8:30 this morning. Police offered no details as to how the tractor trailer fire began or if anyone was injured in the blaze.

A 34-year-old Tyrone man was arrested on a DUI charge after being stopped for a traffic violation shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday.
According to state police, Christopher John Spanik was stopped along State Route 1001 near State Route 865 in Antis Township. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was placed under arrest for DUI and taken for a chemical test of his blood. After the sample was taken, Spanik was released. Charges will be filed at a later date.

A three-vehicle accident on Friday afternoon in Antis Township left three people injured including an elderly Tyrone woman.
The accident happened when 81-year-old Elise Pace of Williamsburg was traveling west bound on the I-99 ramp at Grazierville toward State Route 220. Pace failed to stop at a flashing red signal and traveled into the intersection and then into the path of a vehicle operated by 87-year-old Dorothy H. Glenn of Tyrone. Glenn’s vehicle was traveling north on 220 at the time of the accident.
After impacting with Glenn’s vehicle, Pace’s vehicle hit a pick up truck operated by Douglas Woomer of Tyrone. Woomer was waiting to turn left onto state route 8003. Glenn’s vehicle left the roadway, struck a fence and then a tree.
Pace suffered serious injuries while a passenger in her vehicle, Bobby Pace suffered moderate injuries. Glenn also suffered moderate injuries while Woomer was not injured.

State Police report a two-vehicle accident on Thursday involving a Tyrone area woman.
The accident occurred at the intersection of State Route 36 and Route 2004 in Taylor Township, Blair County. A vehicle operated by Howard R. Claar of Imler pulled into the path of a pick up truck driven by Debora Louise Thomas of RR 2, Tyrone. She was traveling south on Route 36. Neither driver was injured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

A two-vehicle accident occurred at 6:15 p.m. on May 31 along Interstate 99, south of the Tyrone exit.
Police said both drivers, Beth Wallace of Tyrone and Ben Hayes Bell IV of Chester MD, were driving too fast for the rainy and wet conditions. Wallace lost control of her vehicle and struck a concrete barrier which caused her vehicle to spin around and face the opposite direction. Bell’s vehicle was traveling too closely and hit Wallace’s vehicle head-on.
Neither driver was injured, both were wearing seat belts and airbags were deployed. Both drivers were cited.
Huntingdon State Police
Police report a case of retail theft at the Warriors Mark UniMart on Friday afternoon. A known juvenile took a beverage valued at $1.27 from the store without paying. Charges are pending upon parental notification.
