Hesston Speedway invites all kids, ages twelve and under to tour the pits, meet the drivers and get autographs tonight, July 17.
As part of their Kid’s Club, Hesston Speedway has set up special events for children to participate in, each Saturday before the races begin.
This Saturday’s event is one of the most exciting, for kids and for the drivers. Children are invited, before the race, to visit the pit area and meet the drivers. They have the opportunity to tour the pits and get autographs from their favorite drivers.
This year there are eleven local drivers that race at Hesston on a regular basis. These drivers depend a lot on local sponsors to keep their cars up and running. They also appreciate the fans that come out each week to support them.
“That’s what makes this night so great, we get to meet some of our biggest fans,” one local driver stated, as he prepared pictures to hand out tonight.
Gates at the speedway open at 4 p.m. and races begin at 7 p.m. The cost of admission for children ages five to twelve is $2. All children under four years of age are admitted for free.
Once inside the gates, there is an area designated for children under twelve to sign up for the Hesston Speedway Kid’s Club. Once a member, children are able to enjoy the benefits and tour the pits.
