Shoppers at the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society\’s Thrift Shop will be heading to a new location beginning Monday, July 19.
The announcement has been made that the store is moving. CPHS officials have announced the “re-opening” of the “new” store at 317 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd. in Altoona, which is the corner of Kettle St. and E. Pleasant Valley Blvd.
The new shop will open Monday at noon and offer over 3,500 square feet of shopping space.
The move was made possible through the help of building owner George Thomas. Store operators say the new location will allow them to offer carefully selected furniture items and increased lines of store “close out” merchandise, children’s and women’s wear, men’s clothing, hardware, electronics as well as toys and games.
The old location at 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd. will remain open through this weekend with items on “close-out” sale reduced to 75 percent off regular pricing.
Anyone wishing to donate items to the new store should visit the location and make arrangements during working hours, which will be expanded with announcements in the near future.
Furniture may be donated by appointment only. The store operators are asking donators not to leave items outside when the store is closed.
