Two local students have been accepted into the Freshmen Class of 2008 at Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
Joseph Houck of Spruce Creek is the son of Brian and Patty Houck and is a 2004 graduate of Tyrone Area High School.
Emily Fitzgerald of Tyrone is the daughter of Rev. Charles and Jill Fitzgerald and is a 2004 graduate of Tyrone High School.
Juniata College is a private, liberal arts college located in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. With an enrollment of 1396, Juniata is a community dedicated to providing the highest quality liberal arts education.

Rebecca Brown of Bellwood, Pa., is a caller for the Susquehanna University Fund Student Calling Program.
The program is held for six weeks in the fall and six weeks in the spring to encourage financial support for the university. Students call Susquehanna alumni and current and former parents to invite their support of the Susquehanna University Fund, which helps fund a wide range of activities.
These include scholarships, laboratory equipment, faculty and student research, athletics, the library and the arts. Student callers also take the opportunity to share information about what is happening on campus and to record changes in address, job or family information.
Brown, a senior, is studying elementary education. She is a 2001 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and is the daughter of Jim and Linda Brown.
