Children and youth from the First English Lutheran Church, 17 West 13th Street, are shown packing toys for a project sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Eldorado.
The Kiwanis Club, of which First English Pastor TM Talbot-Moses is vice president, collected and shipped nearly 200 pounds of small toys to soldiers in Iraq for distribution to children the troops encountered in that country.
“We are thrilled with the support our young people gave this project,” Pastor TM said. “It was a wonderful opportunity for them to do something to touch the lives of our military personnel and the innocent children of the Iraqi conflict.”
