From staff reports
An 83-year-old Altoona woman has died as a result of injuries suffered in an Nov. 25 accident in Antis Township.
At the time, Grace Turnbaugh suffered what state police described as severe injuries in the two vehicle accident which involved her car and a pick-up truck driven by Brad Montgomery of Jennerstown. She died Sunday at Altoona Hospital.
The incident happened when Montgomery left State Route 4015 and went into a private driveway while trying to turn around. When Montgomery reentered the road south bound he was hit by Turnbaugh’s car.
Although Turnbaugh resided in Altoona, she had connections to northern Blair County.
In 1938, she married the late Albert F. Turnbaugh of Bellwood who preceded her in death in 1971.
Among her surviving relatives are a brother Kenneth Yingling of Bellwood and a sister Wilda Cherry of Tyrone.
Visitation was held yesterday at The Stevens Mortuary in Altoona. Funeral services were held this morning at the memorial chapel at the mortuary with burial at the Calvary Cemetery.
