A Tipton resident was arrested for DUI after he was stopped for traffic violations on Nov. 21 at 1:42 a.m. on state route 764 in Logan Township.
Justin Alley was found to be under the influence of marijuana.
He faces fines and/or imprisonment, as well as a loss of his license upon conviction.

The Bald Eagle United Methodist Church located in Rural Route 3, Tyrone was the scene of a burglary sometime between 9 p.m., Nov. 24 and 7 a.m., Nov. 28.
According to the police, someone broke a rear window on the first floor of the church and entered into it.
Once inside, the perpetrator went through a desk and walked around the church. The burglar(s) then fled the scene undetected.
Police said no property was removed or had been determined to have to been taken from the church.

An Altoona woman suffered severe injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Antis Township on Thanksgiving evening.
The accident happened just before 6:30 p.m. on State Route 4015 when 83-year-old Grace Turnbaugh was traveling south on the road. A vehicle operated by 41-year-old Bradley Montgomery was attempting to turn around in a private drive and Turnbaugh’s car hit Montgomery’s pick-up truck.
Police explained Montgomery had been traveling north on the road and was backing into the private driveway attempting to turn around, his vehicle entered back onto the road to travel south. It was at that point, the front of Turnbaugh’s car hit the left side of Montgomery’s truck.
Montgomery was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. A passenger in his vehicle, Gregory Jovich of Rockwood was not hurt. Police said Turnbaugh was also wearing her seat belt.
Both vehicles sustained severe damage.

A Huntingdon woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Route 453 in Tyrone Township on Nov. 26, shortly after 7 p.m.
The accident happened when Ann Moskel was traveling south on the road and her car traveled off the road and struck a rock embankment. Her car then traveled onto the road where it rolled over. Moskel’s vehicle had moderate damage.

State police reported a burglary at a business in Snyder Township sometime between Nov. 26 and Nov. 29.
Someone broke into a locked garage belonging to Penn Fuel Propane and removed a number of items including an air compressor and copper tubing.

A Tyrone man was arrested for making terroristic threats on Nov. 28 at a residence in Snyder Township.
Eric William Johnson was arrested for terroristic threats and simple assault after an incident that occurred at his residence. Johnson was arraigned and released on $15,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary was scheduled for Dec. 7. District Justice Fred Miller said the charges against Johnson were withdrawn by the District Attorney’s office.
