Joyner Sportsmedicine, a leading and respected provider of outpatient physical rehabilitation services, recently opened a new facility in Tipton, located along Old Route 220.
Lynnette K. Latchford, DPT (Physical Therapist) has been named the Center Manager for the new Tipton facility.
Joyner’s Tipton facility offers the full continuum of general and specialty physical rehabilitation services including: orthopedic physical therapy, occupational therapy, the WorkStrategies Program – Joyner’s work injury prevention and management program and functional capacity evaluations.
The Tipton location also provides Vestibular Rehabilitation, a specialized program designed to help people suffering from vertigo, imbalance and other inner ear disorders.
A talented clinician with vast clinical experience, Latchford joined the Joyner team as a staff physical therapist in June 2004 in their Altoona location. Prior to joining the Joyner team, Latchford worked in an outpatient physical therapy setting where she was a member of the brain injury team. She has served as an adjunct professor in the Mount Aloysius Physical Therapy Assistant Program and has experience in the hospital setting.
A Tyrone native, Latchford spends time volunteering within the community. She designed and implemented a health screen for walkers who were participating in the Walk of Life in Pittsburgh. She also volunteers for the Chicago Rivet and Machine Company’s Relay for Life Team.
Latchford received her bachelor’s degree in health education at Penn State University in 1997 where she earned honors as Student Marshall of the College of Health and Human Development. She received her master’s degree in physical therapy from Chatham College in Pittsburgh in 2002. In 2003, she earned her doctoral degree in physical therapy, also from Chatham College.
