When the Tyrone Area YMCA ceased operations, the Board of Directors determined to pay off creditors rather than declare bankruptcy.
As part of that effort, the board is announcing a liquidation sale of furnishing and equipment on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Logan Avenue location. The proceeds of the sale will be used to help pay off the YMCA’s debts.
Among the items being offered are some antique furniture, exercise equipment, free weights, Nautilus equipment, benches, desks, portable bleachers, a refrigerator, upright piano, some televisions of unknown age and condition, assorted tools and several large ladders.
All items will be priced to go and these items must go to prepare the Logan Avenue building for sale. All sales are final. This will be a cash and carry operation. No credit cards.
