John W. Stonebraker, Jr., 48, of 642 W. 21st St., Tyrone, died Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 5:45 a.m. at Altoona Regional Health System-Altoona Hospital Campus.
He was born May 28, 1957 in Philipsburg, a son of John W. and Elfriede (Ludwig) Stonebraker. He was formerly married to Becky Branham who survives in Tyrone.
Also surviving are his mother of Tyrone; two daughters: Amber D. and Amy D. Stonebraker, both of Tyrone; a brother Richard W. of Houston, Texas; grandmother Gervace Stonebraker of Tyrone and special friends, John and Kitty Butterbaugh of Tyrone.
Mr. Stonebraker was a 1975 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and attended the First Assembly of God Church, Tyrone. He retired on disability in 1995 from construction in Old Ocean, Texas. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor William Glunt officiating. Friends will be received at the church from noon until the time of services. There will be no viewing or visitation.
