The Church of the Good Shepherd, 1650 Clay Avenue, Tyrone, will be hosting a Community Awareness Open House tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The open house participants will inform the residents of Tyrone about the many human services agencies/programs that are available to their families.
Sharon Kimberling, coordinator for this exciting event, believes that local residents may not be aware of the many organizations that are accessible to them and that accessing the needed services could improve their quality of life. It is her hope that the event will be a method of putting these agencies at the fingertips of many needing services.
Human service agencies and Church of the Good Shepherd programs will have representatives at the church distributing information about their services. Many participants will also provide an activity for children who are attending the open house. A festive spirit is expected as games, activities, and treats delight these children.
