The Bellwood-Antis girls volleyball team hosted Juniata Valley on Monday evening. Bellwood-Antis remained undefeated with a three-game sweep of the Lady Hornets to improve their record to 4-0.
The Lady Blue Devils won 25-17, 25-9, 25-18, with Lauren Carter recording eight service points along while delivering 12 kills and seven blocks. Katie Palmer had a dozen service points, 10 digs and 41 assists, and Lauren Leap added four service points and 35 assists.
“The girls continue to show progress and consistency in their game,” explained Bellwood-Antis volleyball coach Stephanie Burner. “Juniata Valley is an athletic team, but the girls stepped up their game. The ability for many of the Blue Devils to play multiple positions on the court has left many options open to us. Our two athletic setters, Katie Palmer and Lauren Leap, led Bellwood with 41 assists and 35 assists to a win over Juniata Valley, extending our record to 4-0.”
The Bellwood-Antis junior varsity vanquished Juniata Valley in two straight games, winning 25-16 and 25-11 .
Bellwood-Antis will host Tyrone on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
